On November 15, I invite you to come and paint Christmas ornaments with me. It will be a fun and inspiring workshop, in which you will explore your creativity. Afterward, the ornaments will be fired and mailed to your home so you can enjoy them at Christmastime 🌲

Paint your own Ceramic Ornaments

In this workshop, you will be decorating hand sculpted ornaments with colored glaze. There will be many different available colors and lots of ornament designs to choose from. During the workshop you will be served coffee, tea and yummy snacks and when the ornaments are finished, I will fire your pieces in my studio. Once your ornaments are ready, you will then receive them in a surprise package by mail.

Setup

Upon arrival, I will start off with a small introduction and I will share some technical tips on painting with glaze. I will also share lots of inspiration and some insightful tips on how I paint some of my favorite pattern designs.

After this, it's time to get started! You will select 3 to 4 bisque fired ornaments to work on. I love color, and I will make sure there will be lots of different colors to choose from! 

When the workshop comes to an end, I will keep your creations in the studio for a short while. We will glaze and fire them, and I will make sure you receive the pieces within plenty of time before Christmas.

Important to know

- There will be plenty of ornament designs and shapes to choose from. Some will have a face sculpted in them and others will be entirely empty for you to paint with a pattern.
- As you will be working with ceramic glaze, make sure to wear something that can get dirty :)
- Note that you will not be building the ornaments. The event focus will be on decorating and painting techniques.
- No need to bring any additional items; everything is provided in the course. 
- The introduction will start at 10am. Doors will open at 9.45 am.
- Cancellation is possible up until 3 days prior to the start of the course
- You will receive the ornaments at home by mail within 3 weeks after the event.
- A few days before the event, you will receive an email from me with some additional info and reminders. 

Gold Luster

Many of my ornaments carry gold luster details on them, but due to technical reasons we won't be working with gold luster in the workshop. In case you would like your ornaments to have gold details on them, I can apply this for you afterward. This will cost an additional 7 euros for each piece. Note that it may take a bit longer before you receive your creations by mail, as they will need one extra firing session.
